GOALSThe kid's channel produced an award-winning series called "The Island". The series was part sci-fi, part drama. The narrative was such that events took place on three parallel timelines, and the stories were told in non-linear format. The channel asked us to keep this in mind when we created the website. SOLUTIONWe decided to use the three-dimensional timeline as our main concept for the site. We created an engine which allowed administrators to add content dynamically to the timelines. They could then tag each item, and users can provide comments and feedback. The user experience was also based on associations based on the tags. Users travelled through the timelines and viewed items (video clips, photographs, quotes, etc…) as though in a labyrinth of media. |
